Audio engineers work in a range of settings, from recording studios to live events, and they use their technical expertise to record, mix, and edit music. In most cases, audio engineers need to have a strong grasp of music theory and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as music production or audio production. In addition, audio engineers should have a good understanding of acoustics and electronics, and be capable of reading music in a variety of formats.
