We are looking for an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate should have a keen interest in agriculture and the ability to work with a variety of people, teams, and technologies. The Agricultural Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing plans and designs to maximize crop production and optimize farm operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing structural engineering and soil/water management solutions to increase yields and enhance sustainability of agricultural systems. You should have a comprehensive understanding of crop science, soil science, and structural engineering principles. You should also have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ultimately, you will help ensure our farm operations remain productive, efficient, and sustainable.

Responsibilities

• As an Agricultural Engineer at Rezi, responsible for developing, designing, and testing agricultural equipment and structures, such as tractors, plows, harvesters, and irrigation systems

• Develop, design, and test agricultural machines and structures, such as tractors, plows, harvesters, and irrigation systems

• Evaluate soil type and terrain, as well as crop and livestock production requirements, to design and develop agricultural machinery

• Analyze data and develop models to optimize crop yields and evaluate agricultural machinery performance

• Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot agricultural machinery and systems

• Develop new technologies and products to improve farm production efficiency and technology

• Develop plans and estimates for the installation of agricultural machinery and systems

• Develop training programs and materials for the safe operation of agricultural machinery and systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field

• 5+ years of agricultural engineering experience

• Advanced knowledge of agricultural production, planting and harvesting equipment, and farming operations

• Experience in soil management and conservation, water management, and agricultural waste management

• Knowledge of crop and pest management

• Ability to design, install, and maintain irrigation systems

• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor processes and systems related to agricultural production

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to agricultural production

• Proficiency with computer programs and software related to agricultural engineering

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field

• 5+ years of experience in agricultural engineering

• Knowledge and understanding of agricultural systems and processes, both in the field and in the laboratory

• Experience in the design and installation of farm buildings, irrigation systems and agricultural machinery

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Knowledge and understanding of farm safety and environmental regulations

• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including farmers, agricultural researchers, and government officials

• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to develop solutions to complex problems

• Knowledge of soil science, crop science, and agricultural engineering principles and practices
