Description

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to develop and execute designs for our products. The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing while adhering to safety and industry standards. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of CAD, SOLIDWORKS, and AutoCAD and be able to generate effective solutions through creative and technical problem solving. The Design Engineer will work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure designs are accurate and meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include creating designs, 3D models, prototypes and drawings, and helping to troubleshoot any issues related to the designs. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage their time and prioritize tasks to ensure that all deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

• As a Design Engineer at Rezi, responsible for designing and developing software for a wide range of products and services

• Create detailed technical designs for software components, taking into account performance, scalability, availability, and security

• Develop and maintain software systems, from low-level components through user interfaces and web services

• Analyze and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability

• Collaborate with product and project teams to ensure that product requirements are met

• Develop automated tests to ensure quality of software before it is released

• Troubleshoot and debug problems with existing software systems

• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams

• Research and evaluate new technologies and development tools for potential use in projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related degree

• 5+ years of experience in product design and development, including design for manufacturability

• Expertise in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo

• Experience designing and testing components and assemblies for robustness and reliability

• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal fabrication

• Excellent understanding of GD&T principles and ability to apply them in product design

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Applicants must have strong experience with CAD, SOLIDWORKS, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• As a Design Engineer at Rezi, you will be responsible for developing high-quality and user-friendly designs that align with the company’s brand, goals, and objectives.

• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

• Collaborate with product owners, developers and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and unified design experience.

• Deliver designs with a focus on usability and user experience.

• Develop and maintain design documentation, such as style guides and design specifications.

• Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterate designs and prototypes based on user research and testing results.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in design engineering.

• Expertise in 3D CAD modeling for product development, design for manufacturing, and design for assembly.

• Experience with PLM/PDM systems, preferably Windchill or Teamcenter.

• Knowledge of GD&T principles and standards.

• Working knowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes, and tooling requirements.

• Proven problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think outside the box.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

• High level of initiative and ability to work independently.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
