We are looking for a Development Director to join our team and lead our software development and product teams. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of software products, driving product innovation, and ensuring timely delivery of projects. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in software development and product management. You should also have expertise in Java and a solid understanding of the software development life cycle. Ultimately, you will ensure that our software products are of the highest quality, meet the needs of our clients and remain competitive in the market.
Responsibilities
• As a Development Director at Rezi, responsible for leading the development team to deliver high quality, reliable, and effective software solutions
• Guide and direct the development team to ensure optimal solution design, development, and implementation
• Develop strategies and plans for the development team to ensure the team’s success in achieving organizational objectives
• Design, develop, and maintain software systems and applications that meet customer requirements
• Oversee the development process to ensure quality, scalability, and performance
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the development team and take corrective action as needed
• Lead efforts to research and evaluate new technologies, processes, and tools to improve the development team’s efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage and mentor the development team and ensure team members are properly trained and motivated to perform at their best
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in the software development industry, with a deep understanding of software development methodologies and technologies.
• Proven track record of leading successful software development teams and projects.
• Ability to assess technical needs and create efficient and effective development processes.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design, and agile development methodologies.
• Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate teams.
• Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make decisions.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Description
We are looking for a Development Director to lead our team of software developers in creating innovative software products. The Development Director will be responsible for developing the overall software development strategy, managing the software development process, and mentoring the software development team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in software development, software products, and Java. The Development Director will oversee the design, development, and implementation of software products and ensure quality control of all projects. The Development Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing best practices, ensuring best-in-class coding techniques, and ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget. The Development Director will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers, partners, and vendors. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, a creative and strategic mindset, and a strong work ethic.

• Lead the development team to ensure timely delivery of high quality products and services
• Establish and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Review and approve technical designs, code, and other artifacts produced by the development team
• Monitor and report on team and project performance against established goals and objectives
• Develop and implement processes to ensure the quality and performance of development efforts
• Drive continuous improvement in the development process to ensure delivery of competitive, high-quality products and services
• Manage and mentor team members to ensure they are working to their full potential and growing in their roles
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, management and/or leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success leading software engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Expertise in software engineering best practices and methodologies, such as test-driven development and continuous integration/delivery.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and mentor teams in their use.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality products and services on time, budget and with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with designing and developing distributed, service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with cloud-based systems such as AWS, Azure, etc.
• Experience with DevOps and related tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
