Description
We are seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team at Rezi. As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for providing quality nutrition services to our clients. You will be responsible for food preparation, food service, cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, and special diets. You will also assist with preparation of food for special events and meal service. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent nutrition knowledge, knowledge of food preparation, and food sanitation skills. You must also be reliable, organized, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills. Ultimately, you will ensure our clients receive quality meals and proper nutrition.
Responsibilities
• As a dietary aide at Rezi, responsible for preparing and serving meals to residents, visitors, and staff
• Assist with setting up trays in the dining room and delivering meals to patients in the hospital
• Ensure the sanitation of all work areas, dishes, and trays according to established health and safety guidelines
• Monitor and maintain food inventories, and restock supplies as needed
• Ensure that all food is stored and prepared according to food safety standards
• Monitor residents’ diets and provide nutritional counseling as needed
• Maintain accurate records of food consumption and waste
• Assist in meal planning, menu development, and food ordering
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in dietary services in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and dietary staff and other departments.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the healthcare team.
• Knowledge of and ability to use kitchen equipment and small appliances.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Description
We are looking for a Dietary Aide to join our team at Rezi. The Dietary Aide will assist in the preparation, service, and clean up of meals served to residents, visitors, and staff in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Rezi's established policies and procedures. The Dietary Aide will be responsible for setting up dining areas, preparing food items as instructed, and cleaning dining and kitchen areas. The successful candidate will have experience in food preparation and nutrition, as well as knowledge of food sanitation and safety standards. The ideal candidate will be organized and have excellent communication skills. Ultimately, the Dietary Aide will contribute to creating the highest standards of quality for our residents and guests.
Responsibilities
• As a Dietary Aide at Rezi, responsible for assisting in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals according to established portion control procedures
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with all applicable health and safety regulations
• Ensure that the food is served in a timely manner and at the correct temperature
• Monitor and maintain food levels in all food storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing of work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Provide assistance in the delivery of food carts, trays and other equipment to residents
• Assist with the preparation of snacks for residents and guests
• Assist with the ordering and stocking of food supplies, as needed
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a dietary setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Knowledge of nutrition and sanitary practices related to food service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
• Skill in cooking and preparing meals according to instructions.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation guidelines.
