Description
We are looking for a talented Line Cook to join our kitchen staff. The successful candidate must be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, following recipes, and adhering to food safety and cleanliness standards. You must have excellent time management skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and pay attention to detail. Your duties will include prepping ingredients, cooking menu items, cleaning and stocking the kitchen, and ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are met. You will also be required to help with setting up buffets and other special events. If you have the relevant experience and qualifications, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
• As a Line Cook at Rezi, responsible for preparing ingredients for meals and cooking meals according to recipes
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment, such as fryers, ovens, grills, and small appliances
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food based on client orders
• Ensure quality of food and portion control
• Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and work area
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist in preparing for catering jobs and special events
• Assist in dishwashing as needed
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
• Ability to take directions and follow recipes accurately.
• Excellent knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with a team and show initiative.
• Knowledge of proper food handling and storage techniques.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Must be able to read and understand written instructions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent quality and timely delivery of all menu items. The Line Cook will be expected to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the kitchen. They will manage their time efficiently to ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presented in a professional manner.To be successful in this role, the candidate should have excellent time management and organizational skills and demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. They should also be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ultimately, the Line Cook will provide an enjoyable dining experience for our customers by preparing delicious dishes in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
• As a Line Cook at Rezi, responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes to the highest standards
• Ensure all orders are prepared and cooked on time, to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and sanitation
• Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and products to maintain the kitchen inventory
• Prepare food items for cooking in accordance with menu specifications and standardized recipes
• Ensure all food products are cooked to the correct temperature and stored properly
• Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Monitor food stock levels and order supplies as needed
• Prepare and garnish dishes to enhance presentation and create visually appealing plates
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils throughout the shift
Requirements
• At least 1 year of experience working in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to take direction and work well with others.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
