Patient Care Technician
Description
We are looking for an experienced Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care services. The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for a wide range of patient care activities, such as collecting samples, keeping up to date on digital health records and providing patient education. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to patient safety. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and be a team player. This position requires current CPR certification.Ultimately, you will ensure that our patients have access to the highest quality of patient care. You should have a keen eye for detail, be organized and have a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
• As a Patient Care Technician at Rezi, responsible for providing quality care to all patients in a respectful and timely manner
• Assists patients with personal hygiene, transferring, positioning, mobility, nutrition, ambulation, and other activities of daily living
• Monitors vital signs and documents patient information in medical records
• Collects, prepares and transports specimens for laboratory testing
• Administers medications and treatments under the direction of licensed personnel
• Assists in the preparation of patients for examinations and treatments
• Responds to patient calls and provides assistance as needed
• Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment
• Assists with patient discharge planning and preparation
• Creates a supportive and therapeutic environment for patients and family members
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent, with additional coursework and/or certification in patient care, medical terminology or other related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures.
• Ability to take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse.
• Ability to accurately measure and record patient intake and output.
• Working knowledge of patient care equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work with a variety of healthcare professionals in order to provide patient care.
• Ability to properly document patient care information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow directions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for assisting medical professionals with patient care, collecting samples, updating digital health records, and performing CPR. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to work independently. You should also have experience with CPR and the ability to remain calm in urgent situations. Ultimately, you will help ensure our patients receive the highest level of medical care.

• Provide assistance in the operating room, emergency department and other areas of the hospital

Requirements
• Previous experience as a patient care technician or related medical field.
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.

• Ability to take vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, etc.
