Description

We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our team and help us create and maintain efficient production lines. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and improving the flow of production processes, from raw material to finished product. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Sigma techniques and be proficient in Java programming language. Ultimately, you will ensure our production processes run smoothly and efficiently and that our products meet the highest quality standards. Your duties will include developing and implementing production plans, monitoring the production process, identifying and assessing areas of improvement, creating and maintaining technical documentation and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and supervising production staff and tracking production metrics.

Responsibilities

• As a Production Engineer at Rezi, responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of all production systems

• Design, develop, and deploy reliable and secure applications, services, and systems while following best practices

• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and services, identify and diagnose root cause of incidents and take appropriate actions to prevent future occurrences

• Participate in on-call and incident response duties, including taking ownership of incidents and managing them to resolution

• Collaborate with development teams to build tools, services, and infrastructure that meet security and availability requirements

• Proactively identify areas of improvement and implement automation and process improvements to reduce manual toil, improve system availability, and increase operability

• Create and maintain documentation for production systems and services

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in production engineering

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and/or Go

• Experience with automation/configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Chef, and/or Puppet

• Proficiency with Container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift

• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform

• Ability to debug and troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced environment

• Understanding of Agile and DevOps best practices

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• As a Production Engineer at Rezi, responsible for understanding the platform infrastructure and developing automation and tooling to support the development and maintenance of Rezi's production systems

• Work with development teams to develop, deploy and maintain production systems

• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and highly available

• Develop automation and tooling to support the development and maintenance of Rezi's production systems

• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems

• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues

• Improve system security and scalability

• Develop and recommend best practices for system design and configuration to ensure optimal performance and reliability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 5+ years of experience with production engineering.

• Proven experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash, etc.) and configuration management systems (Ansible, Chef, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Ability to troubleshoot and debug distributed systems.

• Working knowledge of system and application monitoring tools.

• Strong understanding of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
