Description

We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Rezi and provide medical care to patients experiencing cardiopulmonary problems. The successful candidate should have extensive knowledge of Respiratory Care, Ventilation, and CPR, as well as strong critical thinking and communication skills. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, providing patient treatments, and assisting physicians with patient care. You will also be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and educating patients on breathing techniques and therapies. Additionally, the Respiratory Therapist will keep detailed records of patient care for future reference and maintain a safe and clean working environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our patients receive the best Respiratory Care possible.

Responsibilities

• As a Respiratory Therapist at Rezi, responsible for providing respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric

• Assess and evaluate the patient’s condition and determine appropriate treatments

• Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed by the physician

• Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatments as necessary

• Educate and support patients and families on the use of ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory care treatments

• Provide support for patient rehabilitation

• Maintain and update patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatments

• Evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans

• Communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care

• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings, as needed

• Perform pulmonary function tests and provide results to physicians

• Perform and interpret arterial blood gas analysis

• Assist with intubation, tracheostomies, and other airway management procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field

• 2+ years of experience in working as a respiratory therapist or related role

• Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures related to respiratory care

• Familiarity with oxygen therapy and aerosol treatments

• Ability to use medical equipment and technologies related to respiratory care

• Excellent patient care and communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret medical documents

• Ability to maintain patient records and data accurately

• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to remain calm and collected in stressful situations

• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures

• CPR and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• As a Respiratory Therapist at Rezi, responsible for providing patient care, educating patients and families on respiratory care, and performing diagnostic tests to assess patient's respiratory condition

• Set up and operate a variety of therapeutic and life support equipment, such as mechanical ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol generators and respiratory therapy monitors

• Assess patient's respiratory status and make recommendations for appropriate treatment, such as chest physiotherapy, aerosol medication, or oxygen therapy

• Perform diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and sputum specimen examination

• Assist with the preparation of inhalation medications and the preparation of patient charts

• Monitor and evaluate patient's progress, and modify treatment plan as needed

• Educate patients and families on the appropriate use of respiratory care equipment and techniques

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent

• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting

• Knowledge of respiratory care procedures and techniques, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation and aerosol therapy

• Ability to assess and interpret patient data and develop respiratory care plans

• Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with other healthcare professionals

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to lift, move and transport equipment and supplies

• Ability to work with a variety of age groups, including pediatric, adult and geriatric patients

• Ability to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
