Description

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team and help ensure our systems are secure and compliant. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security measures for our network and systems. You will also be responsible for identifying security threats and vulnerabilities and responding to security incidents. To excel in this role, you should have experience with computer networking, database platforms, and network security. You will need to be able to monitor and audit our systems for security purposes, as well as develop and implement security policies and procedures. You should also be able to stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends and recommend appropriate security solutions. Ultimately, you will ensure our systems are secure and our data is safe from external threats.

Responsibilities

• As a Security Engineer at Rezi, responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the security systems and solutions that protect the company’s data, networks, systems and applications

• Monitor and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities and incidents, and develop appropriate solutions

• Develop and implement security policies, standards and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

• Design, develop, and maintain a secure IT infrastructur

e• Manage security systems and firewall/IDS/IPS solutions, as well as implement and maintain data encryption solutions

• Research, evaluate, design, and implement security solutions for infrastructure and applications

• Perform security assessments and penetration tests, and analyze results to identify security risks and vulnerabilities

• Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with an emphasis on designing and developing secure systems and applications.

• Expertise in security engineering for web applications, such as authentication and authorization, cryptography, data protection, identity and access management, and security logging and monitoring.

• Knowledge of security protocols, such as TLS/SSL, OAuth, and SAML.

• Experience with cloud security solutions such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Ability to develop and maintain secure coding practices and policies.

• Experience with network segmentation, network security, and secure configuration management.

• Understanding of risk analysis and assessment techniques.

• Familiarity with malware analysis and incident response techniques.

• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001/2 and NIST.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Monitor and evaluate system security risks and vulnerabilities, and recommend solutions to mitigate them

• Maintain and update security control frameworks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards

• Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities

• Research, evaluate, and deploy new security technologies and solutions to enhance the security posture of the organization

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that security best practices are being followed in the development and deployment of applications

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering and security operations

• Knowledge of common security architectures, authentication and authorization protocols, cryptography, network security, and security scanning

• Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing security systems including SIEMs, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint security

• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, etc.

• Familiarity with cloud security technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex security issues

• Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
