Ms. Helena Chang
My name is XYZ and I am applying for the Entry Level Mechanical Engineer job at Company Z. I have spoken with several members of your team and was each time impressed by their acuity and passion for both establishing business connections and their firm. I’ve developed a strong interest in providing incredible service to clients across many diverse customer demographics and have in-depth experience doing so.
My interests in Mechanical Engineering and Operations developed during an internship at Company A where I worked on a garden shed and the resulting addition, a detached garage. I planned and executed the project by selecting, purchasing, and installing the necessary construction materials. I obtained the necessary permits and performed the construction, including framing, electrical, and plumbing work. I was in charge of estimating, ordering, and scheduling materials, subcontractors, and equipment. The construction project is currently in progress, but the detached garage has been completed and is being used by the homeowner.
I am looking forward to learning more about the mechanical engineering field and working as an engineer. This position would be a great addition to my experience working with both design and construction elements.
Thank you for reviewing my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application in more detail at an interview.

Sincerely,
Charles Bloomberg
