First, I am a graduate of Nursing School where I learned to use the latest medical technology to care for patients. In my first job as a New Graduate Nurse at Hospital B, I was able to utilize my communication skills to effectively communicate with my team, patients, and doctors. I also used my research skills to collaborate with other doctors on recent medical studies. Finally, I used my skills in emergency care to administer CPR to patients and keep them alive until they were able to receive additional medical attention.
During my time at Hospital B, I have focused my efforts on patient safety. At times, I have noticed that some staff were not following patient safety protocols. I took it upon myself to ensure that all staff were following the correct policies and procedures. This involved me being a resource to staff and teaching them how to improve patient safety. I enjoyed this experience, and after some time, I was able to make a difference.
