Description
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chief Development Officer to join our team at Rezi. The Chief Development Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and managing strategies to grow our business and ensure our long-term success. The ideal candidate should have excellent strategic planning, business analysis and business strategy skills. In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative strategies to drive business growth and profitability, analyzing data to evaluate existing strategies and develop new ones, and managing the execution of projects and initiatives. You will work closely with the executive team to review and assess current business strategies and develop plans to improve them. Additionally, you will foster relationships with partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth. Ultimately, you will lead our team to achieve our long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities
• As a Chief Development Officer at Rezi, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s development activities, including fundraising, grant writing, and community outreach
• Develop, implement and manage fundraising strategies and plans that support the organization’s mission and goals
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit individual and corporate donors, foundations, and other funding sources; develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Oversee grant writing and proposals for public and private funders
• Create and manage a budget for fundraising and development activities and ensure that goals are met
• Develop, coordinate and implement programs and activities that will increase public awareness of the organization’s mission, goals and achievements
• Work with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies to increase donor loyalty and engagement
• Lead and manage a team of development professionals and volunteers
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in a leadership role in software engineering/development
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing software development teams with a focus on product delivery and quality
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
• Extensive experience in software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and the ability to drive process and methodology improvements
• Ability to identify and manage risks and dependencies, and to ensure the successful delivery of projects
• Strong technical background in software engineering and development
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, is a plus

Requirements

• Experience leading and managing development teams and providing technical guidance and direction.
