Construction Project Engineer
Description
We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join our fast-paced team at Rezi. The candidate must have a strong background in Construction Management and Project Management, as well as a working knowledge of Construction Materials. The Construction Project Engineer will be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion, including developing detailed plans and specifications, scheduling materials and labor, and monitoring progress to ensure tasks are completed according to schedule. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with other teams in the company. In addition, you should have experience in developing and maintaining budgets, overseeing safety regulations and reporting progress to management.
Responsibilities
• As a Construction Project Engineer at Rezi, responsible for managing the design and construction of projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
• Coordinate and monitor construction activities to ensure they are completed in accordance with plans and specifications
• Prepare and review plans, specifications and other documents related to the construction of projects
• Establish and maintain close relationships with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and codes
• Monitor and track project progress, coordinate with architects and engineers to address any issues, and take corrective action as needed
• Track materials, equipment, and labor costs and develop strategies to reduce costs
• Manage and administer contracts for construction projects, ensuring all parties comply with the terms and conditions of the contracts
• Coordinate with other departments in the organization to ensure successful project completion
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a Project Engineer role with a general contractor
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and completing projects on-time and on-budget
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and schematics
• Demonstrated experience in constructing and managing budgets
• Experience in developing and maintaining construction schedules
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and other related software
• Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring construction crews
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Construction Management, Project Management and Construction Materials. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. You should be able to identify potential problems and proactively resolve issues before they become major issues. You will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, liaising with stakeholders and reporting on project status.

• Oversee the construction process, including the selection and management of contractors and other professionals, and the management of materials, labor, and equipment
• Monitor the progress of the project and ensure it is completed on schedule and within budget
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure that all project requirements are met
• Identify potential risks and create strategies to mitigate them
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards
• Prepare project progress reports and coordinate with the construction team to ensure that all tasks are completed on time
• Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process
• Track and document project costs and expenses, and prepare project budget reports
• Participate in the development of project bidding documents, and evaluate bids from contractors.
Requirements
• 5+ years of industry experience in building and construction project engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction methods, practices, and materials.
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other professionals.
• Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and other construction software.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Current certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction Course.
