Ms. Helena Chang
My name is XYZ and I am pleased to present my application for the Mechanical Engineer Intern position at Company Z. I have been impressed by your company’s reputation of providing exceptional service to clients across many diverse user groups. I’ve developed a great interest in providing incredible service to clients and have in-depth experience doing so.
My interest in Mechanical Engineering developed during an internship at Company A when my duties required me to learn and apply proper analysis and accounting procedures in order to organize and grow the company’s complex business pipeline. During this time, I designed a custom accounting system that efficiently and accurately recorded the coming year’s fiscal activity. This provided me with a strong understanding of practical accounting theory and applied internal control. Over the course of the position, I interacted regularly with our clients and worked as part of a team in the club’s executive board, forecasting cash flows and preparing quarterly budgets and reconciliations. My accounting and time management skills will be instrumental to my success at Company Z.
Prior to my work at Company A, I was able to apply my mechanical engineering experience to Student for Company A, where I was given the opportunity to assist the company’s Mechanical Engineering department with budgetary issues and product development. It was here that I found my passion for understanding mechanical engineering concepts. I enjoyed understanding how each employee’s work helped accomplish the company’s goals because I was able to find ways to perform my own tasks more efficiently to ensure departmental success.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated my ability to deal with problems in a timely manner and have learned to resolve them in a professional and productive manner. This has also developed my ability to communicate effectively with people who do not have a technical background. This ability has been consistently employed to deal with clients in a professional manner by providing them with the most effective solutions.
As such, I feel that my experience is in perfect line with your needs. After reviewing my resume, I am confident you will agree that my proven performance record and ambition will be an asset to the company.
Thank you for reviewing my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application in more detail at an interview.
Sincerely,
Charles Bloomberg
